Privacy policy

Inquiries & bookings

We collect the information you provide, such as your name, email, phone number, event dates, rental quantities and message. A delivery request also needs an event address. The form identifies required and optional fields. Please do not include ID documents, payment-card details or other sensitive information in a message.

We use these details to check availability, prepare quotes and rental agreements, contact you about your request, arrange handover and returns, and manage the booking, payments, deposits and any related issues. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list. We do not sell your personal information.

Electronic agreements & identity checks

If you sign an agreement online, we store the agreement, your typed name and drawn signature, the signing time and the IP address used to sign as part of the booking record.

For booking support, we record when the client form is opened, details are saved, the agreement is opened and signing is started. While the form tab is visible, it sends a periodic activity signal so the owner can see recent activity. These private booking records are separate from marketing analytics and do not capture keystrokes or screen recordings.

ID checking is optional for each booking. If your booking requires it, the owner checks your photo and name in person and records when the check took place and who performed it. The current flow does not collect an ID photo, document number, birth date or copied ID address. Contact us if you have questions about information provided for an earlier booking.

Website use & spam protection

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand use of public pages and their performance. Website measurements exclude private admin and signing pages and remove URL query strings and fragments. Unknown and private paths are excluded. These basic traffic statistics are separate from optional Google Analytics.

To understand how inquiries reach us, we keep a broad category such as Google search, social media, a campaign link or a direct visit. A category can be kept in your browser tab for that visit and saved with an inquiry. This does not store the full referring address, search phrase or campaign parameters with your inquiry. Browser restrictions can make a source unknown.

For spam prevention, the quote service processes your IP address to limit repeated requests and stores a salted hash and your browser's user-agent information with the inquiry. Hosting and email providers may also process technical logs to operate and secure their services. The separate signing record described above includes the IP address used to sign.

Optional visitor journey analytics

When Google Analytics is available and you choose “Allow analytics,” it uses cookies to measure public page visits, rental selections, scroll depth, time spent viewing a page, contact-link clicks, form starts, broad error categories and successfully saved enquiries. It also processes technical device and approximate location information. These measurements help us understand where visitors arrive and which pages lead to enquiries.

We send only known public page addresses and predefined promotion labels. We do not send your form answers, name, email, phone number, event address, event date, booking identifiers, signatures or documents. We do not enable session recordings, advertising personalization or Google Signals.

Optional Google Analytics does not load before you allow it. Use “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of public pages to change your choice. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep it off. We remember your choice for up to 180 days; consented visit context is kept in your browser tab. Declining does not prevent an enquiry from being saved or handled.

Google may process analytics data outside Canada. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Analytics totals are estimates and may omit blocked or declined visits.

Service providers & access

We use service providers for website hosting, database and document storage, and email delivery, including Vercel and Supabase. They process information needed to provide those services; processing may occur outside Canada. Booking records and signed documents are restricted to authorized access. Treat your booking and signing links as private.

Retention & your choices

Records are kept for handling inquiries and rentals and for related accounting, legal and dispute needs. Contact us to ask about the information held about you, request access or correction, or request deletion or withdrawal of consent. Some records may need to be retained to meet those obligations. Withdrawing information needed for a rental may affect our ability to provide it; we will explain this when responding.
