Rectangle or round — which one for your event?
The 6-foot rectangle table is the practical choice: it seats six to eight, lines up end-to-end into a long banquet run, and doubles as a buffet, bar or gift table. The 60-inch round seats eight to ten and is what makes a reception feel like a reception — everyone facing each other, no head of the table. A backyard wedding usually takes rounds for guests and two or three rectangles for food and gifts. For a casual birthday, rectangles alone do the job at a lower cost.
Linens, spacing and how many you need
Neither table comes with linen, and both look a great deal better with one — a floor-length cloth hides the folding legs completely. Allow about ten feet across for a round table with chairs pushed out, and roughly three feet between tables so people can get past. If you tell us the guest count and whether it's seated or standing, we'll suggest a table count rather than leave you to guess.
